CIB Kenya Appoints Veteran Banker Tirus Mwithiga as CEO-Designate

CIB Kenya has announced the nomination of Mr. Tirus Mwithiga as its incoming Chief Executive Officer, with the appointment set to take effect in February 2026, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

Mr. Mwithiga brings more than 35 years of extensive banking experience, marked by strong leadership across corporate and retail banking, strategy execution, business transformation, and people development. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held senior leadership roles in major Kenyan banks, worked with regional financial institutions across East Africa, and gained valuable international exposure in Singapore, equipping him with a broad and diversified perspective on global banking practices.
