US President Donald Trump on Wednesday warned Iran that “time is running out” and that the next attack “will be far worse,” urging Tehran to make a deal reiterating that a “massive armada is heading to Iran.”
Trump in a lengthy post on Truth Social said that the armada was “moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose.”
“It is a larger fleet, headed by the great Aircraft Carrier Abraham Lincoln, than that sent to Venezuela.”
He warned that the fleet was ready to fulfill its mission and resort to violence if needed.
“Hopefully Iran will quickly ‘Come to the Table’ and negotiate a fair and equitable deal – NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS – one that is good for all parties,” Trump said in the post before warning Iran that “time is running out, it is truly of the essence!”
“As I told Iran once before, MAKE A DEAL! They didn’t, and there was ‘Operation Midnight Hammer,’ a major destruction of Iran. The next attack will be far worse! Don’t make that happen again.”
Since Iran launched the crackdown on protests accompanied by internet blackout, Trump has given mixed signals on a possible intervention.
Washington backed and joined Israel’s 12-day war in June aimed at degrading Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile programs and that included major US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities
Trump said in a speech on Tuesday another US “armada” was floating towards Iran also stressing that he hoped that Tehran made a deal with Washington.
“There is another beautiful armada floating beautifully towards Iran right now,” Trump said in a speech. “I hope they make a deal.”
