Egypt and Kenya Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Regional Stability in Africa

Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, received a phone call from Dr.Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya.
Dr. Abdelatty congratulated his Kenyan counterpart on the successful organization of the Africa-France Summit, looking forward to building upon the Summit’s outcomes in a manner that serves the African continent’s interests.
Minister Abdelatty also expressed his interest in building upon the results of the meeting held between H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Kenyan counterpart, which would contribute to bolstering bilateral relations and advancing frameworks for joint cooperation between Egypt and Kenya in various fields.
The Foreign Minister also mentioned the ongoing preparations for convening El Alamein-Africa Forum, scheduled to be held in El Alamein city this June on the sidelines of the African Union’s 8th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting.
In this regard, Minister Abdelatty expressed aspiration for major Kenyan companies to participate in this forum.
The two ministers also exchanged views on means to enhance peace, security, and development in the African continent.
In this context, they further concurred to support the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of both Somalia and Sudan, and to endorse efforts aimed at achieving stability in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.
