Egypt’s chemical, fertilizer exports reach $9.54 bln in first nine months of 2026

Egypt’s exports of chemical and fertilizer products grew by 34% in the first nine months of 2026, reaching approximately USD 9.54 billion, compared with USD 7.14 billion in the same period of 2025, an increase of around USD 2.40 billion, the Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council said.
In a statement released on Sunday, the council added the results reflect the continued strong performance of the chemical and fertilizer sector, the expanding range of Egyptian products exported, and rising international demand for several key product groups. These factors are strengthening the sector’s prospects for further expansion and a greater contribution to Egypt’s exports.
Council Chairman Khaled Abu El Makarem said the results for the first nine months of 2026 are a positive indicator of the sector’s steadily improving export capabilities, demonstrating the success of Egyptian companies in enhancing their presence in foreign markets and capitalizing on opportunities in both traditional and promising markets.
He stated that exports worth USD 9.54 billion, representing growth of 33.6%, show the production capacity and competitiveness of Egypt’s chemical and fertilizer industries, as well as their diverse product range and ability to meet the needs of different markets in line with importers’ requirements.
