Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council: Successful Participation in the Euromed Cluster Forward Program Paves the Way for an Upcoming Trade Mission to the European Market

The Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council announced the successful completion of its participation in the Euromed Cluster Forward Program, implemented by Berytech with the support of the European Union, as part of the Council’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the presence of Egyptian companies in European Union markets and create new opportunities for trade and investment cooperation within the chemical and fertilizer sectors.
The Council emphasized that the program represented a highly valuable experience both technically and organizationally, particularly due to the continuous follow-up and professional support provided by the Berytech team throughout all stages of the program, which contributed significantly to maximizing the benefits achieved for the Council and the targeted companies.
The Council also highlighted that the program enabled the successful implementation of a preparatory mission to the French market, considered one of the most promising European Union markets for the chemical and fertilizer sectors. The mission provided an opportunity to conduct direct meetings with several French organizations and companies, while also gaining deeper insights into market requirements, market access mechanisms, and potential areas of cooperation.
In this context, Khaled Abou El Makarem stated that participation in the program represents a successful model of regional and international cooperation aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian industrial sectors. He added that the positive outcomes achieved through the preparatory mission reflect the importance of building effective partnerships with European and international institutions.
He further noted that the Council is currently finalizing preparations for the upcoming full trade mission, which stands as one of the key direct outcomes of the preparatory mission, emphasizing that the Council aims through this initiative to enhance export opportunities and strengthen direct communication between Egyptian companies and their European counterparts.
For his part, Mohamed Mageed stated that the Euromed Cluster Forward Program provided the Council with an important opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the European market and to build a strong network of relationships with key stakeholders within the French market. He also praised the outstanding role played by the Berytech team in coordination, continuous follow-up, and ensuring the success of all phases of the program.
He added that the Council continues to work on transforming the outcomes of the preparatory mission into concrete cooperation opportunities and strategic partnerships that will support the growth of the sector’s exports during the coming period, particularly within priority European markets.
