Egypt Embassy in Nairobi Warns Against Fake Visa Websites and Online Fraud

The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Nairobi has issued an urgent warning regarding a growing number of fraudulent websites falsely claiming to provide Egyptian visa services online.
In an official statement, the Embassy said it had become aware of several scam platforms misleading applicants by pretending to issue visas to the Arab Republic of Egypt, while illegally collecting money and personal information from unsuspecting travelers.
Egypt Embassy Clarifies Official Visa Procedures
The Egyptian Embassy in Nairobi stressed that it does not operate any website for Egyptian visa applications, nor does it authorize any intermediaries, agencies, or third-party companies to process visas or act on behalf of the Embassy.
According to the Embassy, all individuals seeking a visa to Egypt are required to visit the Embassy in person and submit their applications directly, along with all required supporting documents.
The Embassy further emphasized that all visa-related procedures are conducted exclusively through the Consular Section at the Embassy premises.

Warning Against Online Payments and Fraudulent Transactions
The Embassy also warned applicants against transferring or paying money to any individual, website, or organization outside the Embassy.
It clarified that all official payments related to Egyptian visas are made in person at the Embassy to the designated staff member within the Consular Section.
The statement noted that several fraud cases have already been reported, prompting the Embassy to urge all visa applicants to remain vigilant and avoid dealing with suspicious online platforms claiming to offer Egyptian visas.
