Food Export Council : 59% of the Sector’s Exports Directed to 15 Countries Valued at USD 4 Billion in 2025

The Food Export Council confirmed that the top 15 destinations for Egyptian food industry exports in 2025 accounted for 59% of the sector’s total exports, with a total value of USD 4 billion, out of USD 6.8 billion representing the total Egyptian food industry exports during the year.
The Food Export Council stated that these indicators reflect the diversity of the sector’s export base and its ability to access multiple markets across different geographical regions, supporting the sustainability of non-oil export growth and strengthening the position of Egyptian food industries at both the regional and global levels.
The Council explained that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first among the largest importing markets, with exports valued at USD 563 million, accounting for 8% of total sector exports. It was followed by the United States of America at USD 438 million, representing 6% of the total, then Sudan at USD 344 million, with a 5% share.
The Council added that Libya ranked fourth with exports valued at USD 299 million and a 4.4% share, followed by Jordan at USD 287 million, representing 4.2% of total exports, then Algeria at USD 244 million, accounting for 3.6%.
The Council further indicated that the United Arab Emirates imported USD 237 million worth of Egyptian food products, representing 3.5%, followed by Iraq at USD 236 million, also accounting for 3.5%, while the Netherlands recorded imports valued at USD 232 million, representing 3.4% of total exports.
The Council clarified that exports to Palestine amounted to USD 205 million, representing 3%, and to Lebanon USD 201 million, with the same share. Exports to Morocco reached USD 192 million, and to Italy USD 191 million, each accounting for 2.8%.
The Council noted that Germany received exports valued at USD 181 million, representing 2.7%, while exports to Yemen reached USD 178 million, accounting for 2.6% of total Egyptian food industry exports in 2025.
