Alamein Africa Business Forum 2026: Egypt Highlights New Administrative Capital as Model for African Urban Transformation

Egypt’s Ambassador to Kenya, Hatem Yousri, recently held a bilateral meeting with Thierno-Habib Hann, the Managing Director and CEO of the Shelter Afrique Development Bank, to unlock new pathways for pan-African housing investment.
Ambassador Yousri extended an official invitation to Hann, who confirmed his participation as a high-level speaker in the “Building Africa’s Connected, Climate – Resilient Cities and Corridors” session taking place during the upcoming Alamein Africa Business Forum, scheduled for June 2026 in New Alamein City, Egypt.
Designed as a pioneering premier platform for cross-border synergy, the forum intends to unite continental decision-makers and financial institutions to drive regional economic integration.
Ambassador Yousri highlighted the monumental success of Egypt’s New Administrative Capital project, showcasing the country’s world-class capability in building smart, mega-scale urban centers from the ground up.
The project is an ideal opportunity for African countries to study Egypt’s grand-scale urban planning blueprints and leverage these lessons to solve the broader African urban housing deficit
