As part of its commitment to supporting arts and culture and promoting communication and cultural exchange, Attijariwafa Bank Egypt supported the JamSalam 2026 initiative, organized by the Club of Africa Development, an initiative of the Attijariwafa bank Group.
The initiative brought together a select group of artists and creatives from various African countries in an artistic and cultural experience aimed at fostering dialogue and closer ties among peoples through art.
The initiative included a two-week artistic residency held at Al Maqam in Tahnaout, Morocco, during July 2026. Artists from across the African continent, aged between 20 and 35, took part in the residency, which provided a space for interaction, the exchange of experiences and ideas, and the exploration of similarities and diversity among African cultures through visual and creative arts.
The closing ceremony featured a range of artistic and creative performances, while participants were presented with certificates of participation in recognition of the profound impact of the residency and in appreciation of their contributions.
The outcomes of the residency will be showcased at the upcoming International Africa Development Forum, organized by the Club of Africa Development, before being offered at a charity auction, with proceeds allocated to supporting humanitarian initiatives.
Egyptian Artist Doaa Fakher Represents Egypt at JamSalam 2026
The initiative featured the participation of Egyptian visual artist Doaa Fakher, who was selected after emerging as the winner among 16 artists following an evaluation by an Egyptian jury comprising a distinguished group of artists, experts and creatives.
Doaa Fakher’s participation in this experience reflects Attijariwafa Bank Egypt’s commitment to creating new opportunities for Egyptian talents to connect with their peers from various African countries and participate in creative platforms. Such opportunities contribute to strengthening the presence of Egyptian art within the African cultural landscape while opening new horizons for cooperation and creativity.
The participation of Egyptian artist Doaa Fakher in JamSalam 2026 underscores the importance of providing Egyptian artists with regional and international platforms that enable them to share their artistic experiences and visions, while at the same time discovering new creative experiences from across Africa.
In this context, Attijariwafa Bank Egypt’s support for the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to its role in empowering young people and creatives, supporting culture and the arts, and strengthening ties between Egypt and its African surroundings.

Attijariwafa Bank takes this opportunity to extend its sincere thanks and appreciation to the esteemed members of the jury, which brought together a distinguished group of experts and creatives who graciously accepted the invitation to participate in the committee responsible for evaluating and nominating young artists in the fields of sculpture, painting, photography and digital arts as part of the JamSalam initiative.
Their expertise and inspiring professional journeys contributed to supporting and highlighting the talents of young Egyptian artists by nominating four artists, from whom one representative was ultimately selected to represent Egypt alongside participants from 15 other African countries where the Attijariwafa bank Group operates, as part of the artistic residency.
