Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) Partners with AUC to Launch the First Executive Master’s Program in Banking and Credit

Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB), the largest private-sector bank in Egypt, announced the signing of a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The American University in Cairo (AUC) to launch the first Executive Master’s Program in Banking and Credit, in collaboration with the Onsi Sawiris School of Business at The American University in Cairo, as part of a strategic partnership aimed at developing and qualifying banking leaders.
The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions and elevate the capabilities of banking professionals and leaders by leveraging the latest tools and curricula in executive education. This will contribute to enhancing the leadership, managerial, and professional skills of participants in the master’s program in accordance with the latest global standards and practices. The program is the first of its kind in the Arab Republic of Egypt to be offered by a leading banking institution in direct collaboration with a prestigious global academic institution.
This collaboration comes as an extension of the successes achieved by Commercial International Bank in launching its pioneering programs to qualify and develop specialized professionals in the field of credit, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to investing in human capital as one of the key pillars for strengthening its leading position in the Egyptian and regional banking sectors. The collaboration also reflects the active and sustained role of The American University in Cairo in linking banking institutions with advanced executive education, thereby enabling the exchange of knowledge and expertise and benefiting from global best practices.
The signing ceremony was attended by Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB), and Dr. Ahmed Dallal, President of The American University in Cairo, in the presence of a number of senior leaders and officials from both sides, including Islam Zekry, Group Chief Financial Officer and Board Member; Mohamed El-Sennary, Head of Human Resources; Dr. Ehab Abdel-Rahman, Provost; Dr. Sherif Kamel, Dean of the Onsi Sawiris School of Business; and Dr. Samer Atallah, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research at the Onsi Sawiris School of Business.
