15 Commodities Account for 71% of Egyptian Food Industry Exports in 2025 Valued at $4.82 Billion

Frozen Strawberries, Cola Concentrates, and Oils Lead Exports
The Food Export Council announced that Egyptian food industry exports recorded $6.8 billion in 2025, noting that the top 15 exported commodities accounted for 71% of the sector’s total exports, with a value of $4.82 billion out of the total $6.8 billion.
The Council explained that frozen strawberries ranked first among exported food products in 2025 with a value of $697 million, followed by cola concentrates at $563 million, and vegetable/edible oils at $432 million.
The Council added that the list of the top exported commodities also included sugar at $374 million, grains at $372 million, flour at $333 million, and chocolate at $273 million.
The Council indicated that frozen vegetables recorded $264 million, followed by frozen potatoes at $261 million, then juices at $228 million, and prepared vegetables at $226 million.
The Council also noted that animal feed reached $221 million, while pickled and processed olives recorded $216 million, followed by yeasts at $182 million, and various food preparations at $181 million among the top exported commodities.
The Food Export Council emphasized that the diversity of the top exported commodities reflects the development of Egypt’s food production and processing base, and supports the competitiveness of Egyptian companies in international markets, contributing to the state’s objectives of increasing non-oil exports and strengthening the position of Egyptian food industries regionally and globally.
