CIB Foundation Egypt Signs EGP 75 Million Agreement with Al Nas Hospital

In a move that underscores its commitment to supporting high-impact sectors with direct societal benefits, the Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) Foundation has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Al Goud Charity Foundation – Al Nas Hospital, The agreement aims to implement a fully integrated medical project targeting the execution of 300 specialized surgical procedures for children, with a total funding allocation of EGP 75 million.
This large-scale healthcare initiative is designed to deliver 150 pediatric cardiac surgeries, encompassing a wide spectrum of procedures, including catheterization and highly precise surgical interventions. In parallel, the project will also cover 150 surgeries within the field of pediatric gastroenterology, ensuring that children suffering from complex digestive system conditions receive timely and advanced medical care. The dual-focus approach guarantees the provision of comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services, aligned with internationally recognized medical standards, while significantly improving treatment accessibility for economically disadvantaged children.
The signing ceremony was attended by Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of CIB; Amr El-Ganainy, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board Member; as well as Ayman Abbas, Treasurer of Al Goud Charity Foundation (Al Nas Hospital), in addition to a number of senior representatives from both entities.
Speaking on the occasion, Hisham Ezz Al-Arab emphasized that this agreement represents a qualitative leap in the Foundation’s developmental journey, reinforcing its long-standing role in driving impactful community initiatives. He highlighted that healthcare support—particularly in the area of pediatric care—remains at the core of the Foundation’s strategic priorities, given its direct and lasting implications for building a healthier, more resilient, and sustainable society.
He further noted that the Foundation continues to adopt a comprehensive and impact-oriented investment strategy, which focuses on channeling resources toward initiatives with measurable outcomes, capable of enhancing quality of life and elevating the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services provided to the most vulnerable segments of society.
In a similar vein, Amr El-Ganainy stated that the partnership with Al Nas Hospital stands as a leading example of successful collaboration between financial institutions and civil society organizations. He explained that this initiative reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to expanding its interventions within the healthcare sector, particularly by supporting institutions that possess proven operational expertise and the capacity to deliver tangible, sustainable impact.
He added that, through this collaboration, the Foundation aims to enhance the availability of specialized medical services, ensuring they are delivered in accordance with the highest international standards, and made accessible to the widest possible segment of children in need.
For his part, Ayman Abbas affirmed that the agreement constitutes a significant milestone in advancing Al Nas Hospital’s mission of providing free, specialized healthcare services to children. He stressed that the partnership with the CIB Foundation reflects the confidence of major national institutions in the hospital’s advanced medical system and operational efficiency.
He further explained that this collaboration will play a crucial role in expanding the hospital’s surgical capacity, enabling it to perform a higher volume of precise procedures , while also accelerating the treatment of critical and life-threatening cases.
This, in turn, will contribute to saving more lives and improving the overall quality of healthcare services delivered to pediatric patients, in line with the highest international medical standards.
The CIB Foundation Egypt reiterated that this partnership is firmly aligned with its broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, which is centered on supporting sustainable development initiatives within the healthcare sector.
